Diet Kidney, Heart & Liver has been tailored to help protect dogs' vital functions and maintain them in good health. Formulated with optimal nutrient levels, including a reduced content of highly digestible protein such as salmon, higher level of essential omega-3 fatty acids and restricted mineral levels to support the cardiac, hepatic and renal function in adult dogs. Suitable for dogs in need of support of the renal, cardiac and/or hepatic function in the case of chronic renal insufficiency, heart and/or liver failure.
OMEGA FATTY ACIDS
- Contains higher level of essential omega-3 fatty acids (from sources such as salmon, salmon oil and linseed) that benefit the cardiac and renal function.
- In dogs with cardiac disease, omega-3 fatty acids can help maintain cardiac rhythm and normal blood pressure.
LOW PROTEIN
- Reduced protein content to lower workload on the kidney combined with proteins of high biological value to ensure your dog gets the nutrients it needs.
- Also, it contains highly digestible vegetable proteins to help reduce liver workload.
LOW PHOSPHORUS
- Low phosphorus helps support healthy kidney function.
- Formulated with lower protein and phosphorus content to help reduce workload on the kidneys and aid dogs with renal insufficiency.
LOW SODIUM
- Reduced sodium levels to help reduce the workload on the heart and help prevent water retention to support the renal function.
LOW COPPER
- Low copper content to help minimize its accumulation in the liver.
WITH TAURINE
- Added taurine and L-carnitine to support the heart function.
Feeding advice:
Husse Diet kidney, heart & liver is a dietetic complete feed for adult dogs of all breeds.
Serve Husse food as it is or pour a little warm water over it. A bowl of fresh water should always be available to your dog. For daily ration see feeding table. The feeding table is merely a guide, adjust the daily amount according to your dog’s individual requirements. Divide the daily ration into at least two meals.
The recommended length of time is initially up to 4 months in the case of chronic hepatic insufficiency and 6 months in the case of chronic renal insufficiency and chronic cardiac insufficiency. It is recommended that advice from a veterinarian be sought before use and before extending the period of use.
